Rules Committee Protocol

1. Committee will consist of 1 board member to act as the liaison with the board and 2 non board members

2. Chairperson will be one of the non board members

3. Once initiated the rule committee will drop 1 member per year to eventually have it set up to be a 3 year term with a new member coming on board once per year

4. Upon deciding that a rules change proposal is a valid proposal the committee will then pursue the rule book and minutes of past directors meetings to ensure that the change proposed has no conflicting rules or that it hasn’t already been changed, as the rule book needs to be updated from its present  state.

2. Secretary forwards the proposal to Rules Committee

3. Rules Committee deems whether it is a valid proposal and recommends to secretary to either post on website and paper or to dismiss the request

4. Secretary posts the request for 2 months

5. Rule committee does all the due diligence on the proposal and submits there recommendation to the board of directors pior to the first quarter meeting of the year

6. Boards votes either passing or denying the rule change

-ALL rule change proposal must be received by July 1st
-ALL rule changes will be effective prior to the 1rst rodeo of the next season
